2 Days Left to Enter The 2009 SEM Scholarship

semscholarshipEvery year my buddy Andy Beal runs the SEM Scholarship, which is a contest to find the brightest search marketing minds around, and to get them on the right track to becoming professionals and authorities in that niche.

The deadline for the 2009 edition is this Monday (June 22), so if you are interested in entering search marketing and want an opportunity to put your name out there, check out the details. There are also $10,000 in prizes for the winner.

Here is how the contest works:

Simply submit an article on any subject related to search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC) or social media optimization (SMO) before the June 22nd (6pm EST) deadline. We want your top tips, your favorite tricks or a secret tactic that our readers would find useful.

Between June 24th and 26th we’ll publish the qualifying entries and give each article 4 weeks (from publication) to attract as many readers as possible. Entrants are encouraged to provide articles that are optimized for the search engines and also utilize the various search and social media channels to promote their work.

On July 24th, we’ll select five entries that have achieved the highest overall traffic, and the panel of judges will vote to decide who is the grand winner.

You can find all the submission guidelines and rules on the official contest page.

Great! Another ‘beauty contest’..I mean expertise contest. Good to see lots of brilliant people out there are spending money on outsourcing to know the know-how of someone else. it’s indeed encouraging.

@Daily Good Tips, if your ideas are good enough it could still be worth it.

@Harson, I don’t think that is the case with this contest. Andy Beal is one of the most respected guys in the industry, so I really think organizes with good intentions.
