Check Out The Affiliate Marketing 101 Guide

jonathanvolk-guideMy friend Jonathan Volk just released a guide titled Affiliate Marketing 101. The guide is completely free, and you just need to subscribe to his email newsletter to get access.

I just went there to check the material, and I must say that it is really solid. Jonathan covers pretty much all you need to know to get started with affiliate marketing. He generated over $4 million last year in affiliate sales, so he sure knows what he is talking about, too.

Here is a list of the sections included:

  • Introduction
  • What Is Affiliate Marketing?
  • What Is An Affiliate Network?
  • Recommended Affiliate Networks
  • How Does All This Come Together?
  • The “Pregame”
  • The “Pregame” Pt. 2 – Know Your Demographics
  • The “Pregame” Pt. 3 – Setting Up Hosting / Domain Name
  • Setting Up A Simple PHP Redirect
  • The Landing Page
  • Affiliate Marketing Methods (Basic Overview)
  • Social Media Affiliate Marketing Guide
  • Pay Per View Affiliate Marketing Guide
  • Pay Per Click Affiliate Marketing Guide
  • Media Buying Affiliate Marketing Guide
  • After Your Campaigns Are Ready To Launch
  • Conclusion

You’ll find the sections where he talks about affiliate marketing methods particularly useful, because he goes into details about the techniques he uses, the tricks that he found effective to generate more sales and so on.

Finally, he is also having a contest where the two people sending more referrals to the affiliate marketing guide we’ll win an Apple iPad. You’ll get your referral link once you subscribe to the newsletter. Neat promotional idea by the way, huh?

@Jan, because people are lazy :) . That is why only few of us become Michael Jordans or Larry Elissons, because the majority is not willing to do what it takes. They prefer to sit down and watch television.

I guess you have a point. heh.

But what about people who really want a result, like make $1000 a month in passive recurring income on the Internet, but they seem to be stuck in a negative unproductive pattern of only reading blogpost, emails, hanging on forums and watching videos, often on IM and “how to”-stuff…

How do you believe people like this can break free from this?

You are very right. Most of the times these stuff rot in the HDs. Everybody just reads it and then forgets it. Very reluctant to implement what they learn.

@Jan, if you really want something you go get it.

People who don’t take action don’t really want, they just say so.

I absolutely agree. After I signed up for ProBlogger’s 30 days to become a better blogger program, I didn’t complete each daily task. I’ve learned that its not just about learning, you really must do and get things done. Get into the habit of not wasting your time with just sitting in front of the TV or watching videos on YouTube. What’s helped me is finding 1 or 2 niche projects Im interested in and sticking with them rather than simply imitating others’ ideas and losing interest because they’ve been doing it for a long time; ideas that encourage, not discourage.

@Daniel, thanks for the information you just shared with us.

@Jan Torsvik, You may be right in scenario where peoples are struggling with their efforts to survive. But there is some thing lacking in their effort for what attempt to achieve success is needed.

Daniel’s point is somewhat is right, They prefer to sit down and watch television, instead of attempting efforts.
