This really does help. To routinize it I've established alternating "left" and "right" days throughout my week. Also, since my dominant hand is right, I give both weekend days to left. This goes for writing, teeth brushing, opening doors, remote control, mouse pad, holding dog's leash, eating, anything. It really works; I've always been more artistically-inclined and even have a theatre degree, but I recently became interested in mathematics and so began taking classes. Now I'm getting a mathematics graduate degree. Since doing these exercises I've found even the most abstruse concepts in my graduate mathematics courses easy to follow. These small steps every day really pay off and add up. We have the most complicated and powerful computer yet known housed inside our skulls, and we haven't even scratched the surface of its potential.

I use a different technique to exercise my right brain.
I play a lot of PC games ,so i invert the controls every now and then,
For example: If i play a car racing game, I use my left hand for accelerator, brake, steer left ,steer right and use right hand for shifting gears.

This is not in reference to using the mouse; however, taking the time, routinely, in the morning and practice writing with your nondominant hand (drawing, taking notes, writing down websites you want to remember, etc.) may help improve your creativity.

I fractured my right wrist abt 7 weeks back, nasty stuff. Had a surgery last week. Cannot use my right hand for 8 more weeks, and after that, start with therapy. Will be using the left hand for 4 more months approx.
Even though the left hand is controlled by right brain, does use of left hand really stimulate the right brain?? I doubt it.
Surprisingly i did not have much trouble with using left hand. I could eat properly, type, groom with my left hand pretty easily. Wonder which hand I'll use when the right is back on track?

What if I am left handed and already do most everything else either right handed or with both hands (switch hitter, eat with both hands, and can write legibly with right hand). Will switching over to mouse with my left hand still be stimulating?
