Thanks for this post. I've been using Windows Live Writer. Loved it at first. Lately it's making me pull my hair out! Just stopped working. After reading the comments here, I think I'll give BlogDesk a try.

I have been trying SO MANY of these!

I am a bit let down though.

I loved windows live writer, for the ease of use. Even though it does still have some kinks to fix. But as i post Many pics in my blog, it became impossible to find a free pic web hosting service that would allow me to use FTP acces to upload my pics.

So i tried Microsoft word, but never managed to upload the pics.

Then got into this page, and found oh so many wonderful blog editing prog's.

The only one that seemed to be able to do the job though is Post2Blog. And after a couple of hourse trying to make it work, i am giving up on it too, seen as: I cannot make a 'Default' selection on uploading the pics as 'thumbnails connecting to original size pic'. And manually changing the setting for 100's of pics is AMAZINGLY time consuming. As well as the amazingly annoying thing of placing the pic at the end of the post, and only being able to move it with Cut Paste! Not to mention the automatic formating of HTTP links in hyperlinks! Dam*! Even though i have to admit, finding out i could make all the changes in Word, and then pass it on to Post2Blog is fantastic news (still doesn't change the time consuming fact of changing properties for each and every pic!).

I am desperate! If anyone can help with any idea of a new program, i would be VERY GLAD!!!

In any case, thanks for this topic. It has helped a lot! ;)
