I listen podcasts in my native language radio program, something like intelectual humor. Otherwise not so much time for it, I ignore TV completely same as you. I don’t even have the TV, life is very bussy

I am partial to Paul's Funkycast since it's mine. It is somewhat suckish now but trying to steadily improve with contests and good music.

my favorite podcast is Get Smart Radio, which brings in experts that discuss some interesting, diverse topics-- dreams, natural disasters, sinus problems, fashion, and most recently, sperm donation. It's informative and hilarious.

Another vote for the outdoors world where there's some great stuff available to help pass the daily commute, when I would rather be hiking.

I started in 2006 with podcasts from http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk and then moved to http://www.theoutdoorsstation.co.uk between them I think there's more than 250 podcasts still live.

Now I also subsribe to http://www.doingstuffoutdoors.com , http://www.wildebeat.com and http://seakayakroutes.com

Beats the crap on the BBC anyday ....

A plug for a UK based well established podcaster on the outdoor activity scene 'The Outdoors Channel' with a global audience that continues to grow

http://theoutdoorsstation.co.uk/

Regular updates, a weekly podzine and full of innovative ideas in presentation and content

Highly recommended
