Remember we put hours and hours into our sites and even have writers we need to pay. They know that if you don't have a lot of good content - that neither of you are going to make money. Anyone with 500,000 page views hopefully has a credible site and wouldn't want to tarnish their reputation with a bunch of "fake" links in their articles.
