Yeah, I've been poking around the various sites and forums searching for someone with a familiar problem. So far, nothing. Very discouraging because it looks like the plugin works magic. I guess I should take solace in that it didn't damage might sight, just fails to effect it at all.

@Mark LaFlamme: For me the Automatic Upgrade pluging worked straight out of the box. I just installed the plugin and clicked auto upgrade and away it went as advertised. Maybe an email to the plugin creator, or maybe look around the authors blog to see if anyone else is having the same trouble. It's well worth sorting out, and honestly I can't see why something like it isn't included as part of the base Wordpress install.

I would absolutely love to use one of the quick and easy plugins for upgrades. However, neither Instant Upgrade or Automatic Upgrade will work for me. Both are mean little teases. They get all the way through the process, appear to be loading and then.... nothing. Just a blank page and infuriating reminders to upgrade. Seems like the same quirk must be behind failures with both plugins but damned if I can find it. If any of you have had the same problems, I'd love to hear how you worked it out.
