Gradually, the interests decreased and it is replaced by other monetization models. However, it doesn't mean that this model does not work anymore. The idea behind this model is connecting advertisers with bloggers in a way that a blogger writes a review on a website, service or product. The advertiser gets buzz, some decent traffic and backlink from the blogger and the blogger makes some money. Unfortunately, most search engines do not like the idea because of paid listing. Since the advertiser pays to a blogger for reviewing its website and getting listed on a blog, the backlink would not have the same value as other natural backlinks. With that being said, many advertisers decided to not advertise from this method anymore and left these communities. On the other hand, a large number of top bloggers lost their interest on this monetization model and turned off their accounts. In my opinion, Paid Review can still work if done properly and moderately. Otherwise, it would harm our readership as well and risk our reputation. To Your Success!
