3 Reasons to Use Video on Your Website or Blog
Despite video’s huge popularity (think YouTube, Meerkat, etc), there are many website owners and bloggers who still don’t use it. If you are one of them, here are three reasons to rethink your video strategy.
1. It helps to deliver your message
Depending on the type of content you publish, using video might be a great way to deliver your message. Video helps your users understand the concepts you are trying to explain. One reason people love video is that it provides them with a change of pace – and some visual relief – from having to read information. This is especially true for websites that deliver education content.
2. It’s easy to find and embed video
There are several websites that sell affordable royalty-free videos. For instance, check the video section on Bigstock.com. Second, if you are using a modern CMS like WordPress, adding video to your site or blog posts will just require a couple of clicks.
3. Increase your user engagement
The more time a visitor spends on your website, the higher the chances that you will convert him into a loyal reader, subscriber or customer. And guess what, video drastically increases the amount of time that people spend on any given page.

Hey, its dam easy to find a video that can be embedded and thus, it is very easy for us to start adding video posts into the new blog posts or even in the existing ones. One way or another, it is going to benefit the blog, like you explained.
In the previous tutorial you wrote, asking a busy blogger for a link can be the best strategy to get his/her attention, according to me. Your blog is still among my favorite ones, and I’m definitely learning a lot. Thanks for running it up.
Thank you for this article Mark!
I have one question though – is there any programme you would recommend for editing videos?
I have been thinking recently about introducing videos to my website but I still don’t know which programme to choose so it looks, more less, presentable!
Thank you in advance for your answer!
it also helps to increase the website ranking in search result . Did You know the blog post with video ranks much better than anyother blog post .

Very interesting post Jeff, as always. Images are paramount in engaging with the audience; an old Chinese proverb says “Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand”. I think images fall within the second statement, which is similar to the more famous “An image is worth a thousand words”
However, almost every day I still receive proposals and presentations that include only text…I wish some of those companies would read your post.
Thank you for link to trial! But I think videos at Big Stock are more suited for your own video production rather than for adding to posts. Anyway, you can produce your own video and add it to post to make it brighter!
I really enjoyed reading your blog, you have lots of great content. I look forward to reading more posts from you.
I am a big fan of sharing video on websties. This is a great way to get traffic from search engines. You explained very well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us..
Using videos in your blog posts does makes them more attractive as well as informative. One can offer so much detail about the topic by embedding a video.
These days professional bloggers are experimenting a lot with their blogging techniques and illustration packed blog posts are becoming very common.
I would also recommend using info-graphics for increasing user engagement and readers on blog posts.
