Blog Project: Three

Daniel Scocco

Let’s kick start July in great style with a new blog project, and this time, apart from plenty of traffic and backlinks, we will have $300 in cash prizes!

Ever heard the song “Three is a magic number?” Well, I thought that the number three would also make the perfect topic for a blog project. There were some modifications to the rules, which I think will make the project even more interesting, check it out.

Rules:

  • Write a post that involves the number three. It might be your “Top 3 Blogging Tips,” “3+1 Reasons Why You Hate Something” or “3 Signs that You Are Addicted to YouTube.” You get the idea.
  • Use the Contact form and send me the URL of the post, the title and your name.
  • Once I publish the final list of entries, you will browse around them and post a list of your favorite entries (it can be a Top 3, Top 5, Top 10 or anything else).
  • Points will be assigned to the entries mentioned on these “best of the best lists,” and the authors of the 3 entries receiving more points will win $100 each.

As you can see from the rules, the participants themselves will decide the winners of the blog project. And no, you can not include your own entry on your “favorites list” :).

You can submit your post until the midnight of next Sunday, July 8. Have fun!

I wish there could be more submissions allowed per blog but nonetheless, here’s my submission.

I know Daniel covered on this many and many times but I thought putting the 3 most important things(to do first) to watch out for before applying further speeding techniques like Daniel described. Hope you’ll like it.

    And good luck to everyone.

I sleep at least 8 hours every night hehe, the timestamp on the comments is not synced to my time zone.

Also, I will be setting a deadline for the votes on the post I will publish on Monday.

  • Jan

I was just wondering as it wasn’t written anywhere. Also since there is no deadline given it makes it more difficult to check. I imagine you will be stating a deadline for the link posts as well when listing the entries?

You are up early aren’t you? The early bird catches the worm as the saying goes 🙂

  • Daniel

Jan, if participants send me an email with a link to their list it would be helpful :).

But I will also check the blog of the participants directly, so no worries.

How will you keep track of the link lists? Do we have to submit them too or do you track via trackbacks and pingbacks to your blog?

  • webstuffscan

Hi Daniel – thanks for the simplified theme! I can’t think what will I do if it was something like “ten” 🙂

Here is my Entry – 3 movies that can change you

  • Ashish Saini (Ashfame)

Count me in too but from my new blog!

  • Jan

The more the merrier. For some the $100 is surely an extra motivation, but there is so much more to get out of it that you really shouldn’t focus too much on the money.

Please make it a random list Daniel as that is the only way to make it equal opportunity. That will also ensure that people don’t rush things, but take the time it takes to write something good. At least I need time to write something worth reading 🙂

At the rate this is going we are looking at over 100 entries which makes it even more compelling to enter. Unless you are after the cash of course.
