Top 25 Web Design Blogs
The Top 25 Blogs is becoming a trademark around here. We have already created the Top 25 Blogs About Blogging and the Top 25 SEO Blogs. Now it is time to cover the web design niche.
I have a lot of fun compiling these lists because it allows me to discover a bunch of new blogs, most of them with excellent content. It is also interesting to see how the different blogs on a specific niche perform under the parameters. Once again we based the analysis on Google’s Pagerank, Alexa rank, Bloglines subscribers and Technorati authority. The details about the algorithm can be found below the table.

Ah, impressive list! I’ve actually seen a few of these before (sorry for not remember for you the other day!)
Great list Daniel, looks like I should build up my RSS readership, huh? P.S. Love the redesign here!
呵呵,好像这次来了模板变了…嗯,不错的文章…收藏了!
Yeah Brian I told you, an RSS icon should do it hehe.
Great toplist of blogs about design. In order to have a successful blog you must always take care of your website design. These blogs are giving out for sure a lot of useful tips. Thanks for the top;). I will visit the top 5 ;).
Nice list, I have seen the works of A list apart and smashing magazine will take some time out to go through the others from list to gain some inspiration for my designing skills
Thanks for the inclusion! I recently joined the Adage Power 150 list, and this is great too.
Brian,
Don’t worry about adding that RSS icon. I don’t want to have the lowest subscriber rate here.
Congrats on the Adage Power 150 David.
Very good list, and I’m even subscribed to several of them, so I guess I’m on the right track.
Not sure what the big deal is with Bloglines though. Why does a Bloglines-based readership have more prominence than another service? Have I overlooked a fundamental RSS marketing strategy?
Not many surprises there especially A List Apart and Smashing Magazine.
I tend to think A List Apart can be a bit complicated at times however!
Gotta tell ya, I’ve never thought of making a list of Top 25 Web Design Blogs or anything like that. But it is a good list indeed. I’ve found some very interesting themes…thanks.
Thanks Daniel.
Charity asks a good question, about Bloglines. I really don’t know much about that. Do more people use Bloglines than Google reader? Is that a stupid question and I’m way off-track?
Bloglines is the only RSS reader that reveals its numbers publicly.
I could have used Feedburner, but not all the blogs use this service.
Thanks for placing tutorial blog on your list, pleasantly surprised we did so well.
Great list! Why isn’t Jeffrey Zeldman (http://www.zeldman.com/) on it though? He probably taught most other people on that list everything they know!
Good one John, I will update the list.
Thank you for discovering some great blogs for me
Where’s Digital Web Magazine (www.digital-web.com)? It has a Google PR of 9 — the highest of ‘em all. Thanks for a great list.
Great post!
I know it’s a little off topic but can I ask which plugins you use for related posts and bookmarks? Or did you write it into the theme.
How did u do that? All by hand? I am really interested in that because I’m trying to automate some of the things you did.
Have a look at my site.
Maurizio
Mandy, they are built into the theme.
Maurizio, I did it by hand.
great tips thanks
Nice post but perhaps it should read top 25 ranked web-design blog
because my blog is clearly missing from the list.
This is definitely a great list. And I agree with your list. These are really resourceful and top related blogs on web designs. Very impressive…
really an updater for me ,i have to updates my list right now ,although thanks for sharing such good information.
There is a lot of random web design blogs on that list, some I personally would not including in web design. However, see the way you guys are rating them by search it would only be fair. Very nice list none the less.
Great list. But there is a problem that only home page contain good PR inner pages don’t have PR.
Well, I agree with a few of those… I’ll have to look into some ofthe others… Thanks for the research.
Oh!… wow wow, nice list… I find it very interesting… I’ll some of it… coz I’ve already try most of it. But anyway i really like most of the list coz they really know what they are doing on the web industry…
A well compiled list of blogs…thanks for sharing it with all of us.
